To celebrate 100 years under the sun, Corona created the world’s first Sun Reserve, a new concept for protecting beaches from the shadows cast by high-rise development. Using an overlooked real estate law, Corona legally secured the airspace above a beachfront lot in Brazil, preventing future construction from blocking sunlight from reaching the beach. Inspired by forest and marine reserves, the project introduced a new way to preserve a fundamental part of the coastal environment: access to natural sunlight.
This project received Gold and Silver Lions, including the first Gold Lion in Corona Brazil’s history.
